I figured when nature calls, one figures which way the current is going, runs down the beach aways downstream, and then goes for a swim??
I guess not...

Check my last post. Downstream is for everybody else to worry about. Once, long ago, a young, longhaired, skinny version of myself was running down the shining white beach of Togo, West Africa at dawn. Palm trees, blue ocean, alla that 'tropical paradise' stuff. I'm pretty sure I was running in slow motion and that the theme tune to "Chariots of Fire" was playing.... Young, tireless, rippling muscles, all of that, feet splashing right at the edge of the tide..... Then the sun rose brilliantly at the end of the beach as I ran.... ....and I discovered I was downstream of the Lome city sewer outlet (tho' at time it was more like ) Anyhow, I DO know what crap looks like, rolling in the surf Birdwatcher

Couple of buckets to wash the feet in before climbing on the cot? That's a good 'un. If I can manage to remember what state I'm in, or my middle name, before falling into a cot I'll be impressed with myself. Wash my feet? Tee hee! Not bloody likely! Though I admit a great idea. After prolonged skin/sand constant contact, that's a nice feeling.

Didn't I tell you that KG is in charge of tent structure build and the broom------ Going to start pulling stuff out of storage building this week. Should remember the tent and cots.

No problem. As I am on vacation, however, I'll probably opt to hire some amigos to professionally work the accomodations detail. There will be some available, no?

Mono, fluro, or braid - that's my delima this week. New line on my Penn Spinfisher (after a complete cleaning, and lubrication) in hopes of lessening the trials, and tribulations that saltwater fishing can inflict on gear.
I've got a reasonable supply of terminal tackle, and a few lures. I also have a small throw net (but you have to promise not to laugh when I twirl that bad-boy it's been awhile!).
I'm gettin' a bit revved.

Oh! - cast net, *slap forehead*
I've wound up in the drink, with the net balled up on dry land a time or two. >grin<

Well, I drug my cast net off it's perch of hooks, high above the floor in our warehouse. I think it's junk. I rinsed it down with fresh water after it's last use, but must not have been thorough 'nuff, 'cause it's pretty stiff, and seems almost brittle. There's even a break in the webbing near the weights.
Sucks, but replaceable.
I wonder if a detergent wash, or fabric softner would prevent this kind of damage on the next one?

Mono - there's a thought.
I do have a corner on the market of "things to learn".
Now that you mention it, I've seen those cast nets at the big-box stores, and some of the sporting goods stores. I'll be takin' a much closer look this, and early next week.
I know of a place where mollet are 'bout a given - but it's a long way from Corpus. (Rivera)
