That's awesome. Would love to go someday.

Idk how I'd feel next to a shark that big, dead or alive.

Nice trophies. I really like that warthog in particular.

Looks like you had great luck fishing. Much better than when I was there, but it is always a blast there.

Thanks guys; it was truly a great time.

The shark was 2.3 metres long which would put it into the 130 kg range (+/-286 pounds), she was out of the water for only a very short while and was then released / returned to the ocean. It was a very arduous fight; at the time the pictures were taken the primary feelings were that of exhaustion, relief that the shark was landed, and a resolution that I was not going to lie along side the shark with my head near the mouth as was suggested for pictures. I was assured that the Bronze whalers do not bite when they are out of the water; after seeing the cow shark whip around and try to bite whatever was near this prairie boy decided that my head was not going near the mouth of the shark.

The fishing guide; Rainier said to me a several occasions "you have no idea how good of a day you are having", I assured that although I had nothing to compare it to I was well aware that I had horseshoes well planted up my backside.

The warthog was a real treat; the more I saw of them the more enjoyed them and would love to hunt them again.

Some got it, and some got it to get. Those are great pics. By the time that I could afford those kind of trips, I was too old to do them.

Wifey and I did a whole July motorhome trip to AK in 1994. Mahap the best fishing in the world. I did an 8 day tuna trip out of San Diego to the Alois Rocks after I retired. I am lucky to have some of the best whitetail hunting in the world right here.

Get back to Africa before you get too old. Life is good.

A good friend of mine just booked his 2nd trip with Byseewah Safaris. He says it's the best hunt he has ever had, and he has been to Africa many times.

great pictures, I hope to make it there myself one of these days.

Awesome pictures! Great great warty; maybe my favorite african animal to hunt.

Your fishing was so over the top compared to the two days I spent fishing up and down the Skeleton Coast, I won't even begin to describe it. Love those sharks!

Thanks BrentD, it was over the top, the guide kept saying "you have no idea what kind of day you're having". I told him that I realized that I had horse shoes way up my backside. The second day we caught one fish between us. GRF
