Thanks for the post. I know Van Den Busche but didn't realize he had done something like this. He has some pretty hot golden retrievers and competes with them, along with being an academic.
I'm not surprised the data worked out reasonably similar to PA deer. They are whitetails after all.

A set of scales is the simplest and only accurate way to go...Add a pulley hoist and gambrel and your good to go with even the largest deer...
