Outfitter: Cruiser safari
Animals: Kudu,Gemsbuck,Impala,Blesbuck,Warthog,Wildebeast
Rifle: .308win
Bullet: 155gr Berger VLD

The travel distance was rough, but the hunting was fabulous. Definitely worth experiencing Africa.

Best highlight of trip: 8 hrs stalking this 55" Kudu
Worst: 100 Tick bites from crawling thru grass.

Amazed at the amount of wildlife...Birds,monkeys,snakes,baboons,ect...your eyes never get a break in Africa.

Great pics, Stoney! You got back quicker than I thought you would. When you get over the jet lag, how about alittle more on the day-to-day, and definately more pics! grin

Did you leave the trophies with highveld, or are you shipping them home to be done here?

Peter has excellent hunting & accomodations, appreciate You & Steve for reccomending Cruiser. I'm having them dipped & sent back to be done here.

Thanks JB. Lol,no lady friend this trip. VLD bullets busted each shoulder and turned the lungs/heart into soup. Everything dropped within 10yards. Kudu went 20yards, though 10 of it was rolling down a rock ditch in the Mnts. Look close, you can see blood on every rock.

Unfortunetely dogs were needed for 2 other hunters shooting 300win mags to find there Kudu & Gemsbuck. Kudu was found, other hunter had to pay for drawing blood. This all boils down to shot placement.

My PH insisted on me placing every shot in the "low-shoulder" area. Behind the shoulder he called it "no mans land". In N.America Ive always placed the crosshair behind the shoulder, but done exactly what my PH requested & it 'flattened the animals everytime.

Congrats Stoney!

Looks (and sounds) like a fantastic adventure.
Good thing you're back, I was worried you wouldn't get a chance at 300mag's March scope in the classifieds. laugh

Get some sleep, and give us a blow by blow.

I'm a .308 freak, and now...I bet you are too!

Congrats Stoney, glad you had a fun safe hunt, and a lifetime of memories. Looks like some 300 shooters need some range time smile

Nice trophies and pics, thanks for sharing.

BTW, I though you said you weren't that great a shot? BS!!
