Gosh, I should know this. Maybe I knew it at one time, but...I know there are short action and long action 700s...but what about for the 375 H&H chambering? Does that use a longer action than the "long action"? Thanks.

The Chosin Few November to December 1950, Korea. I'm not one of the Chosin Few but no more remarkable group of Americans ever existed.

The "long" action 700 is actually extra long or magnum length already. Remington does not have a 30-06 length long action at all.

As mentioned above the 700 long action is as long as they get. Just have to use the right magazine box, follower, etc. for the really long cartridges.

The 700 LA magazine will accept a 3.70" OAL, that's on a .270 and .30-06. The .375 H&H and even the .375 Weatherby have a nomimal max OAL of 3.6".
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!
