Guys, I have a Hasting Paradox 870 M/L barrel that I picked up recently. It is the barrel that attaches to your trusty 870 shotgun action. It uses a 209 primer for ignition.
I hadn't seen one before so I gobbled it up.
Googled this thing and realized that they are very rare and a nice piece.
Hastings stopped making these years ago.
This one has great bluing--it's a great looking well-made barrel, but has some issues.
Bore has some corrosion, one can see the twisting but it will need work.
Also the breech plug has a 209 primer stuck in it. Should be vised and property removed.
Plugs may still be available as well.
Looks like the previous owner had a hard time removing the primer and breech plug. I soaked it with rem oil and it came right out for me.
Barrel includes nifty ramrod that slides under the sights, and also includes the ball/sabot push tool for the rod.
This is a neat piece but will need some love. I don't want someone thinking it is ready to shoot.
$135 shipped.
