and obviously you have not heard that polaris DECIDED to keep that plant running and operating. It sold part of the business' they did their and actually kept it going with the same people. so very few people actually lost their jobs. Others actually moved to another polaris Facility.

Either your reading skills are off a bit or your comprehension is out of whack.
First off that's a may 2010 article, correct me if I'm wrong buschpilot but didn't polaris decide to keep the Osceola site up and running since this story ran over a year ago?
Something clever here.

It's capitalism doing what capitalism does best. The company is doing exactly what companies are supposed to do - trying to maximize profits for it's share-holders. I love my Polaris 850 - it's (by far) the best Quad I have ever owned or ridden on. It's scary fast, has an incredibly comfortable suspension and due to the fact the V is located "sideways" it's much narrower between the legs compared to other quads. If it's anything like my previous Sportsman 500 - it'll never see the inside of a shop. My last, as well as my new Quad have been absolutely reliable.

I can't understand why anyone would buy a Polaris. There are many better products.

Just how many ATV's are actually made in America? Hondas are made in Timmonsville, SC, unless something has changed recently. Not all. My 2005 was, then I was disappointed when my 2010 Big Red was delivered and it was made in...... Mexico.

No. Polaris does have a plant in mexico. those products are shipped south. Its very funny how well Polaris is doing in the world actually being #1 in ATV's for people thinking they are junk. As far as better products, i'd like to see them. When everyone is trying to catch up to Polaris.

Polaris ATV's will nickle and dime you to death with small repairs. They do have a very comfortable ride, but they have to stop making the frames out of iron ore as they are also the heaviest quads in their class.

the ones that are going south of the border. they actually have made very few machines yet. the cadillacs are made right down the road from the polaris plant in mexico. and its funny how all the white blooded americans they have working in that Polaris plant to keep the quality of its products top notch that has made them #1. Polaris build a state of the art plant and most of the people working there are actually skilled and College graduates from mexico that are trying to make a living. Do not be afraid of the machines. They go through many checks I am sure of that.

I think the cadillac plant is rated # 7 in the world for quality control, and in problems per car made. Thats no small task.
