I was looking around on eBay and saw this. Would you like that hanging in your house? (well now that I look at it some more, I would not really want it in my house.)

I find it totally tasteless, but I'd fight for your right to hang one in your house...

Nope,..I wouldn't hang it in my house,..but I can understand why somebody would. It probably holds a special memory for somebody.
Back when I started deer hunting I didn't have anybody to show me the ropes as my dad wasn't a hunter. I started out deer hunting with a bow (bad mistake) because it was cheaper than a gun and my parents figured it was safer and I could be left alone with it and not shoot myself. Not knowing anything about archery, it took many years before I connected with a bow.
By the time I got my first bow kill I had killed many deer with a rifle and muzzleloader. And although they are much better as far as trophies are concerned, none of them will ever mean as much as the little buck I got with a bow.
Perhaps this is someones first hunting memory...

Yeah, I find it kinda tasteless too, but some people find my Elephant foot umbrella bucket and my Baboon skull tasteless as well. Like Kamo Gari said, a free country.

Actually, the dude is a rifle hunter and the Arrow had been there for years. Tough old deer. (I just made that up). BMT

When I was a kid, I visited a Pawn shop/Sporting Goods store,..I want to say in Roswell, NM or somewhere around those parts.
They had the full back half of a deer mounted on the wall with an arrow sticking out one side of the rump. Haven't seen one like it since.
It was pretty humorous for a young kid....

And we wonder sometimes why we as hunters can have such a bad image in the general public's eye? An anti-hunter is never going to support us anyway, but when a simple non-hunter sees stuff like this, which way do you think they're going to start leaning?? Very few people are going to look at a mount like this and not form some sort of opinion. Yeah, free country and all, but why make the fight harder than it has to be by sabotaging our own case with stuff like this?

I had my first buck mounted reaching it's head around licking it's coat. I thought it looked very original. Then I saw the same mount with the deer pulling an arrow out of it's shoulder. I didn't like that so much either. Your deer pics look like a kid mounted them. I would understand that. I'd give a grown up a bit of chiding for that though.

I can see hanging the arrow you took the deer with on the wall below the trophy but this, IMO, shows complete lack of respect for the animal. A trophy mount should add a measure of the majestic to the animal, this takes away from that. Poor taste, to the point of gruesome.

I remember going around the courthouse in Greenville one day and saw a truck with a dog box on the back. The sign on the dog box said "Bloody Fawn Hunting Club". No wonder hunters have to struggle for a place to hunt. I dread hunting season around here because all the rednecks and bubbas just take over as if they owned all the land. They'll kill a deer then ride around town with the tailgate down and blood dripping from the deer's nostrils until blowflies gag when they light on the carcass.

I could stomach Rosie O'Donnell more than that mount. A couple of years ago there was a broadhead manufacturer at the AMO show that had a similar mount on display. I seem to recall my comments to the owner were something like "classless douche bag".

Saw a full mount of a raccoon with a beer can in its paws. I think it was up in PA or MD.

Yeah, I know the guy that had that done, or one that's virtually identical. He's a prick. The guy, not the deer. We used to be in the same hunting club down south.
