My first two shots out of my 12 year old sons new Omega. Ya, he gathered up all his birthday cash to buy it, but I don't know if I can give this thing up. That is one sweet rig! He may be out of luck here..

Ya, I guess that's one option. Our first ML season here in Arkansas ends well before modern gun comes in. I am seriously considering using the Omega during modern gun season!

I've had mine for seven years. Wouldn't give it up for anything.

You shooting T7 powder or pellets? Does the powder give you the crud ring like the pellets?

Thanks Catkiller, but I think we'll probly be getting another Omega soon.
Smackerquacker, I'm shooting loose T7. I've only shot it twice so far, and having just spent the morning breaking it down and cleaning, it is way easier to deal with than my old TC Thunderhawk. My only concern so far was having to pry the spent CCI primers off. Is that normal?
No crud ring so far..

Just shot 200 gr shockwaves, spit patch/dry patch between shots, groups not nearly as good as SST 250's, and the SW's were a pain (literally) to load.
Haven't had a chance to shoot at over 50 yards yet, and have the SST's hitting 3" high @ 50 yards with 80 grains of T7, wondering where I'm gonna find that hits at 100..

That BH209 seems to be the popular choice these days. I thought when I went to T7 from pyrodex that I had gone to muzzleloading heaven.

Hell compared to BH209 in your MZer 777 is just purgatory...BH209 is the real heaven...no more swabbing or crud ring and more velocity

Yall have shown me the error of my ways. If I can get the BH209 to shoot as well as my trusted T7, and the clean up is even better, I'm all for it.

I think the Omega's are the best in line in the market today. I bought my first earlier in the year. I shot Blackhorn 209 (100g) and used Platinum Powerbelts (338g) on my first bull this year and it worked great!

Those 200 gr. shock-waves are deer killing machines. Try them with BH-209.
