It's a half breed. Only the stock is Winchester.

I grew up shooting my Dad's M63. Still have it, and two others. Cadillac of semi-auto 22's, in my opinion.

I agree; the Model 63 is a beautifully made little rifle. I've got a nice clean one that I use for squirrel hunting and plinking. I've always wanted to find one of the later ones that are grooved for a scope, but they're few and far between.

I have an 03, but it doesn't get fired much anymore. When I do grit my teeth and put a few collectors cartridges through it, it never stutters.

This '07 is from the first full year of production. It lived a long hard life on a ranch in south Texas, but shot somewhat okay the first couple of times I shot it with old factory ammo.

It's presently in pieces, as it needs a new recoil spring, which I plan to make. After that I have dies and components to assemble. Maybe a tang sight, too as the original sights are hard to see.

Had a few 63's never had one that stuck and have looked beyond them for years. I had a chance to purchase a very nice 03 but with no ammo, that still haunts me.

I have two 63's, one a "carbine" from 1933 and the other with a 23" barrel that used to belong to Les Bowman. Les and I were good friends during his later years and I bought the rifle from his daughter after he died. I also have an '03 along with about 1000 rounds. The '03 is a charmer too. Have a Standard 1903 (yet unfired) made in 1927 and a pretty 1903 Deluxe plus a few thousand of the OWS Aguila-made ammo....

Several 63s, both 20 and 23 inch versions...

Great little rifles...especially like the 20 inch models...

If I can figure out how to download pics from my Canon EOS 20D which is not supported by Windows Vista I'll post some pics....
