I know that this is a hunting vehicle forum, but in a wierd way this may allow me to get a hunting vehicle sooner.
Since the arrival of our son, we have been struggling to fit in a 2 door Alero. The most recent trip pushed me over the edge so I am looking at replacement cars. Does anyone have experience with the '98 Chrysler Concorde LXi (3.2L V6)? I have never been a huge fan of Dodge products, but this has really low miles and the price is good too. There are a lot of nice new cars out there, but I am not prepared to go into that much debt again. So, is this car reliable?

As a chrysler tech, I can tell you the vehicle itself it not that bad. The trnasmission issues of the '80s and '90s are long gone. Make sure it does not get anywhere near HOT. The 2.7 and 3.2 are notorious for overheating, and warping heads. This in itself equates to very expensive. If you were to find one with a 3.5, they are still pretty fair engines. Good luck on your search.

Would it be worth buying extended warranty from Chrysler on the car or is it a waste of money?

The chrysler extended warranty is pretty good, but expect to pay for it. You can get other brands of extended warranty, but some of them will use salvage yard parts to repair your vehicle. You don't know the history of used parts. Many are still good, some can be defective. We have put in several engines dues to internal damage caused by overheating. Personally, I like the car. Just not the 2.7/3.2 engines.
