Best of luck Stan. I carry the 45-70 that my friend gave me for a few days every season in hopes of taking a deer with it for him.

I pulled some packable camo rain pants out of my turkey hunting bin, tried them on and set them down. I tore the house apart for 2 days trying to find em. With the forecasted rain on the opener, I wanted them in my pack.

Somebody moved them into the garage. It couldn't have been me. There is no way I was distracted and needed something in the garage, then set them in there and was distracted again. No way... whistle

I feel your pain in terms of looking for "lost" gear. My Leica rangefinder was in my golf bag. We won't go into how many places I looked for that thing....

I have that problem every year too. My hunting stuff seems to get scattered all over the place. Between totes in the garage to totes in the bedroom closet to (my wifes favorite "hiding" place) totes in the basement. smirk

UGG I need a mancave!

Stan,

Best of luck! I hope you get a super duper bang flop with your buddy's gun!

I had a pounding headache on Sunday too, so it didn't help to add that to it.

I have a Rubbermaid bin labeled for each hunting season, with the right gear in each. It should be an easy snatch and grab, which it was. Then somebody moved em. laugh

More lost and found items:

Missing, my folding stool. Either left it at camp or my SIL borowed it.

Found, a new Duofold long john shirt that I forgot I bought last year.

My camp pile is growing. I swear I could outfit the entire Normandy invasion.

Speaking of lost things I still have not found my CB cap, who knows where my long johns are, need to buy more ammo since I misplaced a full box of fusions last year. But who knows what else I will be missing when I start getting the rest of my gear together. I think I know where my rifle is. smile

Put out a demarcation line around the gear this year, had to warn the tribe to stay our of the area or face my wrath when i can't find something and the mama is absolutely verboten to help organize.

I hate getting stuff ready only to have it tampered with.

Must have been a load master in a previous life. wink
