Anyone had any experience around this range with this particular rifle? I was just curious I haven't got to try mine at that range but, seems I read somewhere about some folks getting poor accuracy and even bullets that key holed? Thanks for any info! smile Are the barrels on these rifles pretty decent or are they the main limiting factor as for as accuracy goes and not much need in trying pillar bedding etc?

These rifles SHOULD shoot groups in the 5-6 inch range at that distance with most any reasonable ammo. If you do not reload, get ahold of some Vortex or Black Hills or PMC ammo loaded with Barnes Tipped Triple Shock bullets and try shooting some groups at 100,200 and 300 yards. If you have good shooting form, a steady benchrest and good sandbags then and only then will you know THAT rifles capabilities. If you follow the above and let the sandbags do ALL of the holding of the gun during the trigger trip I would predict some decent groups from that rifle. Last ones I hard about were relly accurate, I have NOT heard the poor reports you are reffering to and would very much like to know the source of those.

Hi safariman, I've done a little reloading for this rifle but not much yet. I used some 150gr. Sierra GameKing and managed around 1" or a little under from my bench at 100yds for 3 rounds which, I don't think is bad. I was also, told by some that the heavier bullets may perform even better of course, different powders, components, bullet seating etc may too. I can't remember where I saw the posts about the 300yd. bullet key hole and poor accuracy but, I will see if I can find them again and post them. Thanks! smile
