I know there is a lot that could change it but how much will a 7 mm REM mag bullet drop each 100 yards out to 400-500 yards. Trying to figure out if you had a scope zero in at 100 how it would drop from 100-500

According to most guys around where I hunt the 7mm "don't drop and inch" from 100 out to say 600 or 700 yards.

Find an online ballistics calculator and put your info in and it should give you and idea to go on. Then go out and shoot your rifle at those distances to find the actual drop.

Bullets on paper is the only thing I'd trust. Shooting is where the fun is.

It drops pretty much in the downward direction, in a more geometric than arithmetic ratio...

Go to www.huntingnut.com and download the free ballistic calculator, "Point Blank". You need to know the weight and ballistic coefficient of the bullet you want to use, as well as the muzzle velocity. You can put in other variables like scope height, temperature, altitude, etc. Point Blank will then calculate drops based on the zero range chosen.
