JOC was right. The 270 Winchester on a Model 70 is a great combination as is the 30/06 and 375 H&H

Nothing fancy but she kills stuff and shoots pretty good at the range too.

270 PF, coated in Black T, fluted and coated bolt by Karl Kampfeld, Featherweight syn stock painted by Rick Bin, dings and scratches installed by me. Leupold Vari-X III in 3.5x10x40.

I've got a few Model 70's. All Pre'64's.
I also have a 1949 action and an Edge handle at the 'smiths waiting to become a 35 Whelen.
1960 action with 24" Shilen in 308 Norma Mag in a McMillan Supergrade stock with 3.5-10X Leupold.

1959 Fwt in 30-06 with 2.5-8X Leupold
[Linked Image]
1963 Fwt in 308, just picked it up lately, haven't fired it.
[Linked Image]
1958 Fwt in 243, it's been in the house for two or three days, needs the stock redone. Metal is very nice.
