I might be in on that, Ceder springs is about 50 miles south on my camp!  but will be in N.H. the 1st week of June!

Slightly off topic, sorry in advance, I am considering a job with my present company that would be based near Ann Arbor. How available is long range shooting and action pistol shooting in that area? Thanks!

Washtenaw Sportsmans Club would be of interest to you  Look Here Decent 600 yard rifle range, geared towards Highpower so I don't believe they have benches available (unless portable...).

Linden Sportsmans Club (little over an hour north of ann arbor) run IPSC matches...
I've been out of competitive pistol shooting for over 25 years so my knowlege is limited. Now if you're looking at long range there's a new range going in north of Lake City, both 1000 yard UKD & KD ranges.

Marksmanship Training Center Appears to be a great alternetive to the restictive access to Camp Grayling. Thinking it will be a place where you can spend a day shooting at a relaxed pace.

After visiting their website I can only guess that their location is on a need to know basis.

Their in the initial stages of putting all of this together. I suspect once the range is complete there will be more info available on their web site. The person who's heading this is quite busy, the website has the bare minimum of information posted. They do have a facebook page so the program isn't of a classified nature....
A handful of us have already sent in our membership applications.

Reminds me of a new local range that promised everything during the fund raising process over the past 15 years. Open two years now and so far they only have sporting clays and skeet.

Ya, it's a little pricey, twice what I pay for a club membership elsewhere but then no one else has a 1000 yard range available...
We've all paired up with someone to get the cost down. The original intent was to build a 1000 yard UKD range for tactical training along with a pistol range. A few people I know contacted the owner and talked him into including a 1000 yard range with target frames. John Pierce comitted to paying the cost of installing the target frames and wall for five firing points. The range is a tactical training center, we'll have unrestricted use of the facilities when there isn't any training scheduled. The land is already cleared, progress is being made getting it finished by May.
