Anyone here familiar with Hertel & Reuss binoculars?
The reason I ask is I headed over the Continental Divide yesterday and took in the Hamilton, Montana Gunshow and found a pair.
The binoculars are marked:

Hertel & Reuss
Optik
Kassel
Binocular
7x35
Wide Angle
Made in Germany

I have never seen a pair of these before and in the confines of the darkish Ravalli County Fairgrounds Pavillion I tried to put them through the tests I could conduct therein.
They focused fine, and down to a fairly close distance - I did set them up on a pillar and checked them for collimation at about 150 feet - they appeared to be quite close in their collimation.
Anyway I beat the seller (he was selling off an estate) down a fair amount from the asking price of $65.00 and headed home with them - for better or for worse.
The drive home (135 miles) was mostly in snow squalls and white out conditions so I did not get to check them out til this morning.
They do seem to offer a bright and undistorted image and the collimation at 650 yards is right on.
The binos came with a quality black leather form fitted case.
Anyone familiar with this company or their binoculars?
Any chance of repairing them if they should need it?

I found a Hertel & Reuss 6X30 with a nice case at a garage sale. They are about comparable with my 6X30 Yosemite which isn't bad. They're old and I doubt they're waterproof or even water resistant so they sit on our bookshelf and get used to peek at the occasional interesting bird. I'd classify them as a nice find, interesting, good glass and not for field use. Kind of excess baggage but nice excess baggage.

Ward & It7010: Thanks for the input.
I have no idea when they were made but I just did a search on the internet and apparently the Hertel & Reuss Company went out of business in 1995!
They were bought out by another company but the name ceased then.
Lots of good comments on them optics wise but no other useful (repairs) information found as yet.
I took them out again this morning and observed Canada Geese, Antelope, Whitetail Deer and Mule Deer with them.
No eyestrain as yet.
Thanks again
