Looks like Midway had them but did not last too long.

Here is an update from JD 338
from the 338 RUM.

Is it fair to say that this info would be close too or better than a 338 Lapua?

Those velocities are easy for a Lapua, even with a 24" barrel. Should be perfect.

Should be able to get about 2450-2500fps out of a std .338 Win Mag. Most of the famous African bushveldt medium bore cartridges made their reputations at velocities around 2400fps.

I assume it will stabilize accurately in a 1 in 10" twist at these velocities, since 300gr was one of the original Winchester loads when they developed this cartridge.

I'll probably stick with 250gr Partitions for lower 48 hunting but might consider this for South African bushveldt or maybe Alaskan browns, if I ever get the chance.

From Nosler..............

Got my box of bullets today in the mail! Thought I'd post up some pics for you all. I will likely make it out tomorrow to do some testing....more to come on that later.

Next to a 300gr SMK

Load data that was included in the box (was rather disappointed in the data provided considering they didn't include either Retumbo or H1000 for the Lapua Mag)

And the other side of the load data sheet
