Bring your best shootin' Remy and I will bring the Winny. We will shoot for dinner. Best 5 shot group wins. Give me 30 days to find the load it likes since it is new. Bet?

So as much as it pains me to post this pic here is the 1st ever 3 shot group out of this rifle. Had I not been sitting right beside him when he did it I would think he was messing with me and chalked it up to a joke between friends with him bustin my balls bout Winchester better than Rem 700 stuff. tired

2 shots were fired before this group to get the scope on paper then this group was fired. I guess the stuff we have been hearing about this model from Winchester is true. Looks like they finally got one right. 163bc

And mine is an old one. I'm sure the extreme weathers are even better.....

Since you don't like winchesters at all I think you need to sell me that pre 64 257 you just got....It's a winchester and not worth anything right...... wink. I would say I'd trade you my remington 788 in 6mm rem for it but that thing is a shooter!!!!!Hard to give up good shooters.... grin

I'd have to go and look at my notes, but I do remember it was the first group fired that day with that rifle so it was a cold clean group. I remember that group because I was trying to develop a good load for it and after that first group I almost packed up my chit and went home..... blush. The old girl isn't finicky at all and works out great since I've always been intrigued by the 7mm rem mag. This is the first one I've had and it's impressive to say the least...

The only other 7mm mag I had before this EW was a Browning A-Bolt in stainless synthethic. It would shoot a 1 hole group and I sold it -why I can't say.
