McMillan and Defiance Machine......? #6368925 04/03/12

OP RDFinn Campfire Ranger Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 18,453 Bernardsville, NJ	I was wondering if any of you mated a Defiance Machine action with the "Sheep tang" to a McMillan stock. Here's is a pic of the tang shape I'm talking about. Any suggestions on how one would fill in the tang area of a standard Remington inlet cosmetically ?

Mine is the short action that is the same size as the Model 7 - I just told McMillan this when ordering the stock and they got it right. Mine is squared off on the tip of the tang, not rounded like yours. Here's some quick (crappy) pics I snapped with my iPhone - Robert Gradous built .243AI, Rock #1, Jewell trigger, Swaro 3-10x42 TDS.

Robert sent me the targets with the rifle and it was shooting sub .5 groups with regular .243 ammo (not AI). He was pretty impressed considering it was a number 1 contour and sub 6 lb. rifle. When I get to the range I'll post some better pics and some targets.
