Hi guys. I was wondering how you tell the difference between a fisher and a martin. I saw a critter while I was moose hunting and I figure that it was a fisher, but I'm not sure. Anyone have pictures of both that they could share? Thanks.

Trapped these in MN several years ago.

martens are small, about the size of a mink. Fishers are much larger. Martin are usually a red/brown color with an orange chest patch.

I guess it was a fisher then. It looked about the size of a river otter and it was dark brown/black. Thanks guys.
