Am looking at one of these three for my wife to shoot but am unable to find any localy to look at. Can anybody tell me how much differance in size there is or why I should pic one over the other?

Thanks in advance.

Double stack vs single stack, both are nice pistols and shoot well. More depends on what fits HER hand.

That is the problem, I have not been able to find any of them locally. She enjoys shooting my S&W 422 and wants to try something bigger but will not shoot my G22. Everything I have read has been good about these 3. Am I correct that the single stack vs double stack is the only differance?

That's pretty much it, excepting little evolutionary details like sights or that different shape dustcover on the "Ladysmith" 3913 in the bottom pic.

Yep, it will probably come down to the grip size that feels best in her hand.

Dang,if you were closer I would let you handle a double stack 915 and the single 3913 Lady Smith.

Is there quite a bit of differance between the two?

I think so but have small hands for a man.

Am thinking the 3913 is going to fit the bill.

For hand size I wear a medium mens glove.

The single stack is a natural fit and pointer.

The double I have had to work at to roll it deeper in my palm so it points naturally.

If you have any jaunts up to the Denver metro or even the Springs planned I would gladly let you and yours handle them.

If you happen to get a Lady Smith for a decent price you can always turn it .
However, it does make a nice carry and you may wind up keeping it for yourself. grin

I have both
I normally have the 6906 near me
I think that its surprising how much more compact the 3913 feels
I will assume if she handled both 3913 would win

There is a decent 6906 on the S&W forums right now (I have no tie with) at a fair price
