Sage grouse are very rare in Alberta. Season was closed a decade ago. I had the privilege of viewing them on their breeding grounds (leks). Very impressive. We'll never have a sage grouse season again in Alberta. Just not enough of the right type of habitat, not enough political will to do what is necessary to save them.

I, never seen sharptails mating.

All photos very impressive.

Beautiful photo's of the Sage Grouse. But that rattler give's me to willie's just looking at it. My one and omly fear is snakes.
