OP seven_miller Campfire Regular S Joined: Mar 2012 Posts: 683 Indiana	Does anyone know how much the factory stock on a 700 sps weighs? Or does someone with a factory stock also have a good scale and can weigh theirs? I'm wondering how much weight could be saved with a better stock. Specifically curious about the short action... scotts94_z28 Campfire Regular S Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 2,076 Western NY	The factory short action black plastic BDL style sps stock I have here weights exactly 1 lb 14.3 ozs. This is within 1 oz of what the standard fill McMillans I have wieght but a bunch of weight could be saved going to an edge fill McMillan (around 10 - 12 ozs). Last edited by scotts94_z28; 05/02/12.

cal74 Campfire Tracker Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 5,753 MN	My long action B&C Alaskan Ti stock (full aluminum bedding block) weighed about 1 oz more than the factory stock I replaced it with. Can't recall the weight though Life is just one damned thing after another
