One of the best swirls i have owned came across i great deal on a BAT S/A so the project is changing a little bit

Why couldnt this be a short action.... trying to find a good short action stock for a 700 SPS for my 9 year old.

hows that # 4 compare to a rem mag contour?

tried to copy from their website but no go - looks like a #4 is .650 at muzzle

This one would be a good example to those who obsess over percentages when ordering their stocks.

I would have never guessed the listed percentages (and still wondering what the last 10% is? ).

They look relatively equal, and surely not a 6-to-1 difference.

That is in no way a slam on this stock. I like it a lot. I'm just alway amused when I see the "What should I order?" threads, and they have it down to the 5% range.

As I've said before, you pick our picks, roll the dice, and cross your fingers!

i simply copied another stock that someone else had ordered, i liked the stock and that was how it was spec'd

i dont obsess over the details, just see something i like and order

A factory 700 should drop right in, I ran a 700 in another stock that was inletted for a rock #3 and it was snug but worked

It wasn't directed at you. I meant the threads that pop up in the Custom forum, where guys obsess over percentages. They are told that it's a best guess at best, but insist on trying to nail it down exactly. I was saying that yours would be a good example for that.

You're completely correct, no two are alike, even when spec'd the same.
