I would take a fine 22 rimfire bolt gun (Anshutz 54 sporter). I would take a Model 12 pump shotgun as the workhorse meat getter because they're almost indestructible. And last, but not least ,I would take a Pre-64 Model 70 .338 mag for anything I want to hunt in North America. It would sure hurt to limit yourself to only three guns, and life would be boring, but I believe these three would make a survivor out of you if it came down to it.
I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.

If I could afford to hunt all over North America, I could probably afford more guns. But, if I had to pick 3, I would have a plinker-small game 22, a varmint-medium game 22-24-25, and a big game 27+. I'm not a bird hunter. Calibers would probably best be common ones. I had just clicked on the forum to post a similar question, so I'll wait a week or so for my variation. Bruce

CZ bolt action 22lr Mossberg pump action 12 ga Mauser bolt action 30-06
In my opinion you made it narrow enough to be easy.
Start tossing out the question someone else asked about 5 rifles for hunting the world, and my brain would freeze up like an old PC...

A Cooper 57M 17HMR, a quick twist 243/6mm, and a 7mag/30-06. Make the last two on pre-64 M70 actions.
Anybody who seriously concerns themselves with the adequacy of a Big 7mm for anything we hunt here short of brown bear, is a dufus. They are mostly making shidt up. Crunch! Nite-nite!

Choosing from my current collection and assuming I could always get components for my choices.
Dakota 76-.338WM-Micky Hill Country stock-custom irons and mounts by BC's only gunmaker, Martini's and two scopes in Talley QDs.
OR-Brno ZG-47 Original 9.3x62, Micky MKX stock and Recknagel peep-front blade-Talleys-two scopes.
The scopes would be either Zeiss Conquest 4xs or Leupy VX3-1.75x6MHDs.
Browning-Miroku Mod 7500 combo. O/U gun, .308Win-12 Ga. scoped and irons on it.
Ruger GP-100 sts-4" .357 Mag.
So, one serious big game hunting and Grizzly defence rifle, one general purpose "meat gun" and one self defence tool, all of which can be handloaded and are legal for all BC game.

The models can be argued, but here are the calibers. 22 long rifle 12 guage pump shotgun 375 H&H bolt action rifle.
This list is for the go anywhere/do anything crowd. Course there are many variations of ammo and loads for these 3, I am assuming those are not restricted. YMMV

Hard not to make this 4 and include my .357 Ruger Blackhawk but I'd take my Anschutz 22WMR, a side by side 12 gauge, and keep my Husqvarna .30/06.

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Too easy. But I hope I don't ever have to make the decision. Marlin 39 .22, Remington 870 12 ga., Pre-64 model 70 .30-06.
