Many of the hunters we'd have in 'bou camp would take the head and cape and leave the meat. The camp cook used a lot of it to make suppers, since everybody liked it so much, but of course, after eating it for 10-12 days straight, it's nice to eat just about anything else Yeah, the Lap brass comes annealed and prepped, and the quality is totally head and shoulders above the Remchester stuff. I use a lot of Rem and Win brass, but the Lapua stuff is absolutely worth it when it's available in the chambering I want.
