Thanks fellas. I can Gaurantee ya that nothing about them came very easy. Those Mountains are a different beast compared to the Ozark Hills I live in. And going from whitetail mode to Elk mode only took me 3 years but, I think I may be finally catching on, it's a learning curve that's for sure. Next, Bowkill my first raghorn. Can't wait....

I read your first post again. I'm also using a 250gr Thor for a bull this year.

Where did the first shot him him? Distance? What was you powder load? I'm wondering if I should switch to the 300gr Thor.

110gr BH209 250Tip Thor

First shot 150 yards. Bull turned towards me at cow call, bullet Entered front of shoulder/neck exited off side mid rib cage. Bull went 40 yards and dropped.

2nd Shot 20 yards or so. Bull Was laying down and I aimed at shoulders, Bullet stoped on off shoulder. Bull stood straight up and fell over after a few seconds.

If you want a flat shooter the 250 is great. Zero drop with my load from 50-150 yards. That being said the 300 is what I will probably shoot next time. Those animals are TOUGH!!

I have pics of wound and recovered 2nd bullet. I will try and post them soon.

Thanks buddy. You have to love those Thors.

I think I might go with the 300gr for a little more piece of mind.

Probably a good call, I will go 300 Next time.
The 250 did a great job and a 300 won't kill him any more dead but, the 300 just may stop him from runin up the Mountain on ya.

Thors are the bomb. May never shoot a sabot again. I don't know if it's the Knight or the bullets but that gun/load is more accurate than any sabot I have shot outa my TC Encore. May stuff a few Thors down it if they fit and slam a few Whitetails with them.......will c

I'm Gona send Thor some pics as well.....

U should see my buddies Powerbelt that he recovered from his bull, it looks like it did when he stuffed it down the barrel. I will c about getting a pic of it as well. LOL

Surprising. Usually Powerbelts fall apart.

His finishing shot did fall apart. No exit and lead shrapnel all inside. Those dudes are junk IMO. We Even found the plastic butt casing inside his bull, is that normal? Figured it would fall off like a wad?

It's suppose to fall off like a sabot, but it's not always the case. Which PB was it?

Very cool story.

All except for the "man hugging" part. There is no place for that in hunting. sick
