I have not seen many of the Model Seven stainless in 223. I have one and it is one of my favorite guns.

My fine resolution scale doesn't go above 6#s but I weighed my 260 Model Seven when I had it all apart this spring and it weighed about 6.5# sans scope/rings. You can cut almost a pound off with a lighter stock.
