Just wondering if anybody else has been enjoying one of these; it seems like you hardly ever see one pop up since the Marlin site closed it's forum.

I had mine out again this weekend. Once I got the brass figured out, its been lots of fun.

......I haven't fiddled with the Marlin Cowboy, but I picked up a Winchester Wrangler in .38/55. It's an angle eject with roll engraved cowboy on a bronc, saddle ring ,fancy walnut stock and checkering. I get 38/55 hunting loads with a 255 gr Barnes bullet at 1850fps from a private loading friend of mine. This is still within SAMMI presure specs for modern era rifles. Even with the Wranglers short barrel, this load is a whomper on whitetail! Heck it'd work on moose!..Buffalo bore loads the 38/55 to 1950 fps,but thier ammo, nice as it is, is very costly! The old 38/55 still has good life in it.Truth be known it's accounted for every game animal in north America! Stay within it's range limitations and it'll get the job done!

If anyone wants a handful of .379 softpoints to try in their Marlin Cowboy .38-55, let me know. I sure wish I still had mine.
