PN tubes have shot decently enough. But with my match guns I was picky. I'd have liked Krieger or Rock or Obermeyer type accuracy, but they didn't quite do it.
Depends on what you want. FOr me in that issue the pac nor allowed the speed and gave acceptable accuracy with a better BC bullet. Very small performance window there to gain 3 inches or so less wind drift at 600 yards in matches. But the 10 ring is 3 inches wide as is the 9 so you see what it gained me. But still basically a .5 moa capable barrel give or take. While the rest are typically .5 and under.
Sorry for the digression off the OP topic...

Dogzapper's crummy Noveske FN chrome lined barrel that shoots into a dime my crummy Noveske FN crome lined barrel shoots into about a MOA, I guess I should work on a better load for it. Point being both are chrome lined barrels. Unless DZ's group was a fluke (I highly doubt it), he's got an exceptional chrome lined barrel. Sometimes the stars align just right, and the lucky buyer gets the best of both worlds---------accuracy AND long barrel life. AFAIK the chroming process has never been truly perfected for top accuracy, so it's a bit of a crap shoot. Some end up better than others------------but so do unlined barrels, which I'd wager is also kind of a foundational factor.

This is a stupid question, so p,ease correct me if I'm wrong. A 5.56 barrel can chamber both 5.56 and .223 Rem ammo, correct?

Jeff is that accublock thing a joke? Never really tested them, though we had a couple for a while. Ends up it wasn't much work to bed the lower and uppers, and that made it feel even better and actually shoot a hair better. Not so much in overall group size but it did help some there, but much rounder and tighter groups, if htat makes sense to you. There is a big difference IMHO of a 10 shot group where its 3 inches at 600 and scattered all around the edge of the 3 inch circle, vs one where say 7 of the 10 are inside 2 inches or so with a couple at the outer edge of 3. So it may well be worth it. BUT IIRC I did a lot of 300 yard rapid fire testing on 10 shot groups and there, it showed up as around 0.1 to 0.2 inches better groups. Your decision if it was worth it or not.
