I just picked up my second No. 1, a .243 1B made in 2001. I have'nt
had a chance to shoot or even scope it yet, but was wondering if they
shoot 100 or 80 grain bullets the best? Anyone have any idea what
rate of twist the barrel might be? Thanks. 021

Some reloading manuals have tables in the reference section regarding rate of twist.

My lastest Sierra manual lists it as 1~10. But I've found that they are not ALWAYS right. Anomolies do exist, and often show up where one would least expect.

Best to check it oneself to be sure...

One may have to measure the twist to be sure.
