Trying to decide between either SS or aluminum bottom metal so I can order my McM MR stock before the price hike. Anybody know what the approximate weight difference is between the PTG Rem. 700 Short Action BDL in SS and in Aluminum? For what it's worth, both the action and barrel are SS and the finish will be bead blasted. Also, is the Sunny Hill bottom metal that much better than PTG?

PTG BDL Triggerguards:

Aluminum weight: 2.5oz
Steel weight: 7.5oz

These are the Rem Clones. the Oberndorf's would be a bit more as there's a bit more meat in the bow.
