What a bullet. I just got back from the range. I loaded a box of these Speers with 53.0 gr of IMR-3031 (Max Load be cautious) and shot them at 50 yards. I shot at 50 only, because I had a couple iron-sighted guns to test ammo with and I just can't hold accurate enough at 100 to really see if a load works with irons.
<br> Anyway, the first shot from a sparkling clean bore hit dead center and at the top of a 2" orange dot. The next 2 were touching at 3 o'clock on the dot. Then I shot some other guns. When I cam eback to the Guide Gun I put 2 more in that 3 o'clock group and made one hole out of it. If you are looking for a 400 gr bullet give those Speer's a try.
