That was much later than these incidents.

Did this second shooting happen before they discovered Dorner's fire gutted pickup or after?

If i had a similar truck like Dorner's i think i would park it and start riding a bicycle.

These guys are losing it.
If Dorner is still alive he is enjoying this.

Both vehicles were shot up prior to discovery of the burned vehicle if I understand correctly.

Wouldn't you be "losing it" if you AND your family were under attack? Glad it's not me.

He's likely not enjoying it because he's not able to do what he said he would.

A lot of good folks will be happy when this is over.

If these LEO's "lose it" over one guy against an entire force, they have no business carrying weapons or a badge.

What the hell will they do one day if we actually have civil unrest, machine gun the entire populace, just to make sure?

They're paid to be professionals, not act like menstruating teenage girls.

There, I fixed it for you.........wrong tense.

Sure doesn't speak well of their competency though, either.

Kinda doubt much is going to happen to them though & when Dorner is finally caught, this will more or less all blow over & just become something that was necessary in the bigger scope of things. wink

This guy's no Rambo, just a thug that needs to be killed.

We just don't need any more innocents dying as a direct or indirect result.

Well it seems that there are some problems with the Law Enforcement out in California or so they say. I am not one to buy into every thing posted on the Net, things get miss reported to down right made up. But there is a problem, shooting the wrong car with a couple of short asian ladies in it is not good and its going to cost them a lot of money. But that is a minor problem, the policeman let off how many rounds all together, 60 -70? This is poor fire control no matter how you wish to cut it. They both need to be fired on the spot, I know that a lot of them are on edge, but you have to make examples for the rest, defend yourself when you need to is fine by me, no problem but dam it make for dam sure when you do its justified. Christ those to ladies were no threat to anybody other than being asian, they might be if you were a cat! I know that was crass but hey you have to look on the bright side of things too. As for that guy they are looking for, he is long gone from the area- I would bet he is either some where in the Mid West. He is not were they are looking.

Just by comparison, many of the troops in Afghanistan, a "war zone", mind you, can only fire when fired upon.

But incompetent LA LEO's can fire at will.......at the WRONG targets no less.

There's a bit of a problem here, I think.

Not likely to happen, but I hope the LAPD gets sued & loses to really BIG TIME $$$$$$$$$$$ & some folks get some serious jail time to go along with it.

This is so bad on so many different levels, it's really hard to even comprehend...........something seriously wrong with the shooters involved in both mistaken identity cases.

And the cover up & lame excuses from the higher ups & the LA City Council will now begin............

I'm sure that LAPD will get sued big time for big money. BUT, I will be the one paying for it, from 200 miles north no less. Anyone think this money will come from just LA? How about the LEO's union? No, all the citizens of this state will have to pony up, Moonbeam will see to it.

Female police officers are rarely more than technically categorizable as women.

I read that LAPD apologized and got someone to agree to donate a free replacement truck

That's an excellent post, exactly how I feel. I'm furious about this garbage. When these cops can do this, and IF they get away with it w/o serious personal consequences, i.e. decade or more jail time, there will no longer be any doubt in my mind that this is going to be all out war. Us the peasantry, against the elite and their enforcers.
I think about battered women who get restraining orders against psycho guys and the cops act luke-warm about it, then she ends up dead. Now these cops know how she fears, probably for the first time in their lives. If the average person can deal with fear, even for their lives, a trained professional should be able to hold it together well enough to at least not attack random similar color vehicles!!!
As far as I'm concerned, immediate firing, attempted murder or similar charges, long sentences. We cannot stand by and allow this in America.

The cops have NO duty to actually protect you. They WILL protect themselves however. I'm not impressed at such spastic responses.

Calm down, dude............you're getting too worked up over this.

But I do kinda wonder what happened when an "officer" discharged a gun..........thought that meant an automatic suspension from active duty & an internal investigation? Perhaps not in LA.............

It was dark and the paper ladies didn't have their lights on. The were evidently spooked by the cops and took off faster toward the house. Not good enough. The LAPD's insurance company will pay.

That said, these threads about Dorner have proven very informative...lots of idiots identified.

Well IMHO only, Dorner's truck was already parked on the side of the road, at Big Bear, before any of the shootings occurred. He is in someone else's car, which "is" not in his name. LAPD has no idea what he is driving. They looked it up, started shooting all blue trucks. He's was not in a blue truck.

All he had to do was drive the 80 miles in an unknown auto, start his truck on fire and drive 80 miles back to LA. 100's of LEO's tied up on the mountain looking.

He's in LA somewhere in an unknown auto outside of some motel.
