Anyone interested in hearing the first person accounts of our servicemen and women from the last ninety years ought to check this out.
The book is comprised of the journal entries, letters, and interviews of veterans of WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and Desert Storm, with minimal narration. I listened to it on CD, which was probably even better than reading it.
It's part of the Library of Congress Veteran's History Project. Great read (listen)!
The project is also seeking more donated material from veterans or their relatives.
