Thinking of building an AR chamber for the 6.5 Grendel. What barrel length would you suggest and twist ratio?

For me its going to be 20-24" with a 1:8.

17-20 would be my pick, if able to choose - 8 always in 6.5s.

I have a 20" upper on order. I wouldn't go any shorter and handicap the cartridge by starting it out a couple hundred fps slower than that. I thought real hard about getting the 24".

for hunting as a compromise I'd go with 22 inches personally. 24 wouldn't bother me though.
I would not go less than 20 regardless.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....
