I don't doubt that it's "peaky".

Virtually every propellant out there with a burning rate much faster than Blue Dot is going to be peaky.

Those of us who don't test the pressure limits of firearms don't have to deal with it.

As you mentioned, The LCP doesn't provide a lot of case support,...but then, I'm not trying to squeeze .357 performance out of it. (being rather fond of my front teeth, as it were)

My cast bullet AA#5 .380 loads exhibit no excessive bulging of the cases and perform pretty much like garden variety hardball,..maybe just a fraction hotter, but not much.
