It is nice to have zero need for a "new" rifle. There is a word for me, Phil Shoemaker uses it as well?

Slow down fellas, Remington DID NOT BUY Montana Firearms Group (dba Montana Rifle Company). Tell me when the AP hasn't screwed something up before? Remington bought Montana Rifleman which is/was our Barrel manufacturing facility. We still own the Action/ Rifle manufacturing company right here in Kalispell, MT. We are growing quite a bit and will be moving into our new facility the middle of April. Check out the Montana rifle Company Facebook page (we seem to be more apt to keep that up to date than our website) if you need any other information.

Good info Jeff. I hope it all works out for the best.

One question: Are the mini actions coming in the near future? That's one I've been waiting for..

I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

PLUS 1! hang around some and join in the conversations as best you can.

I am really glad that you are going to be able to keep up the action and rifle parts of the business and perhaps even expand with your newfound operating capitol.

It may be a good thing. No doubt Remington is short on barrels the way guns are selling. Remington may have heard the bad mouthing about quality going south. I know I won't buy one. The other day I went with a TC Venture. For 105 bucks more I could have had a Rem. model 7. I like the feel and weight of the Model 7 but the last 3 Remingtons were a sad disapointment in accuracy. This may be why they need better barrels for their guns.

I've never had more accurate 700's than the last 3 new ones I've bought.

Same here... Seems like Remington out of the box accuracy just keeps getting better and better...
