I bought 5 lbs of this when it came available a couple weeks ago. The stuff is fast, accurate and clean. To fast and clean for blackpowder actually, the rumors flew about, but today in response to multiple inquiry, Goex saw fit to send this out,and it was forwarded on to me by one of the distributors.

Dear Distributors,

Im writing this to quell any rumor or concern regarding our new match grade sporting black powder, Olde Eynsford.

Olde Eynsford is authentic black powder. There are no special additives in Olde Eynsford and it is not a smokeless powder.

Hodgdon/Goex is committed to the success of Olde Eynsford. After having received positive reports from award winning competition shooters, the tweaking is done. We can now concentrate on future production, making certain that Olde E is available to all who demand excellence.

Thank you for your continued support and patronage.

Not to bad actually. It cleans up rather well.It hydrates pretty well.
Here's the patches after the first 5 rounds of the chronograph test.First patch was a dry patch pushed thru after about 3 breaths thru the blow tube, next were two damp patches and 2 dry.
