What exactly can one expect with these?

Are these used, scratched, any defects etc?????

Any return policy?

I got one of these in a 3-9x40 Zeiss Conquest. Can't tell the difference between it and a new one I purchased sometime later. I believe you can return it before you mount it if it's not what you want.

Every demo unit I have purchased from Cameraland, both binoculars and scopes, has been indistinguishable from new.

Several years ago I purchased a Conquest demo scope, and a couple of weeks ago I purchased a pair of Swaro demo binos. They both looked new to me. Buy cameraland demos with confidence.

All I have bought were better than I expected!

Even when Doug describes them as well used they are better than I expect...

dougs demo units likely are actually new. none of the demos I have bought don't look new. selling a "demo" unit is a way to sell for below MSRP without pissing off all the other retailers of the product who would complain that so and so dealer is selling below MSRP. now some demo's doug sells do come with a reduced warranty, leica products in particular. I have used cameraland all the time to horsetrade in and out of optics and upgrade over the years. it helps to know the right people.

My Zeiss Victory 8x32 demos arrived yesterday. No defects that I could detect, and about $500+ off full retail at Cameraland. Crazy not to take advantage of it.

Last year I have purchased a Zeiss Victory Diavari 3-12x56 scope from CLNY. It must have been displayed in a high traffic store because the power ring was loose and turned without much resistance. Beyond that it sounded and felt like there was some sand or other gritty material under the ring. Cameraland offered to take it back. Since they didn't have an other one, I have decided to keep it and sent it to Zeiss for repair. Six weeks later it has arrived fixed and 100% operational-free of charge of course. Having sad that I will keep buying demo products from Cameraland. It's hard to beat their service and prices.

I have bought several demos from Doug. His descriptions are spot on. Two of the Zeiss Varipoint scope I bought were described as "having ring marks" and he reflected that in the price. One of them, he actually called Zeiss, then me to let me know he thought the price should be lower. He took another 100$ off. After receiving the scope, I realized that they used some type of adhesive to keep the scope from slipping in the rings. After a little bit of elbow grease, you can't even see the marks and the scope looks almost new.

Buy a demo from Doug with confidence! I'm just waiting for a Leica 2.5-10 with TT in #4 reticle. Hint, hint... LOL

We make sure that all demos are 100% optically perfect. Some will have cosmetic blemishes which will be taken into account when they are priced.
If you ever get a demo, sample, open box unit, etc. from us and it does not meet your expectation then just contact us and we will take it back. Never an issue.

BTW, we have added Meopta demos to our available demos as well as a super sale on select Brunton Binoculars and Riflescopes

I have bought a couple demos from Cameraland and the only way you couldn't tell they were new is the price.
Still hoping they will get some Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 sometime.

Same story here; I've bought several demo optics items from them, rangefinder, binos, spotter, and all could not be discerned from new units. Can't beat the value.

That's all I buy and I'm on my fourth one!
