Allen, mine will be ready around May or so. The only question now is whether or not to have the action scalloped. 300 Win. Mag. with nice Turkish walnut.

SS,
Have you decided yet about the scallop? Can't remember if I sent all the scallop pics to you or not, so I'll post what I have here.

My preferred alternative on a Farquharson, I've got a larger pic of this, let me know if you want me to post it.

Here's a couple of Hagns that were scalloped on the rear. This first one is a Maurice Ottmar built rifle. I'm not sure if Maurice did the whole rifle or if he did either the metal or wood and someone did the other. I don't know who did the engraving.

This next Hagn is another Maurice Ottmar rifle with Roger Kehr's engraving skills, and shows a nice scalloped Hagn action.

A gain twist barrel - that must be one of Ron Smith's barrels as I don't know any one else that does gain twist in Canada.Great cut rifled barrels that shoot very well.
SS can't wait for pictures-just the right time to work up loads-just a few small details left I see. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Dave, sorry I missed your post. I'm in northern Colo. about to head over the divide elk hunting.

I have not made up my mind on the scallop. I sure do like them. I need to talk to the German and get his take on it. The best thing would be for me to make Reno and talk to him personally. Might have some wood with him to look at as well. I don't know, seems like work dominates my life. Still Reno would be a worth while trip.

Gotta agree. I sent him an email asking about the scalloping, but I don't think his idea of scallop and mine are the same (might be because I'm using the wrong word). I'm going to send him a letter with some pictures and an explanation.

I was going to wait until the ACGG show, but I'm not sure if I'm going to make it now. We'll see. I'll give you a holler if I do.

When I hear back from Martin or Ralf, I'll let you know what they said.
