I'm not able to decide whether I like the 98 in .35 Whelan best of the Merkel Kipplauf.

If memory serves you've a few of those wonderful looking Merkels.

I've yet to see one in the flesh up here, but they do look to be about perfect for a long day afield.

I don't think it is possible to have a more perfecter Winchester than that one. And that is the classic caliber for it too. Looks both well used and well cared for. I think that might be my favorite in entire thread so far.
