Just wondering how the eye relief is? The data claims 3.6-4.2", which is the same as the Leupold VXI. I have never handled one in person, but the price is right.
Thanks

Very good optics and has similiar leupold dimensions..short tube , good eye relief, compactness . I wouldn't say they are better then a Nikon Monarch or Bushnell 4200 in the glass department but IMHO they are very close. I owned their SIII binoculars 8x42 and thought they may be one of the most underrated binos out there.

Thanks, I have their 4.5-14 model and it is great. I was going to put the 3x9 on a 338, so was wondering how good the eye relief is.

dogcatcher, I have this scope and is has plenty of eye relief. Funny that I read this post this evening. I took my SII and my Zeiss Conquest 3x9 out to do a head to head. The Zeiss is brighter, but not by a hell of a lot. They both were very crisp edge to edge. Overall the Zeiss looked better in the low light of street and porch lamps, but the Sightron was not $200 dollars behind.
The SII is a heck of a scope for $200

Thanks. I figured it wouldn't be a Zeiss, but I really like the other Sightron I have.

I have 4. I use the SI on my rimfire rifles and an SII on my ML. I too think htey are better than the Nikon Monarch and probably one of the best secrets out there. One would be hard pressed to find a better scope for $200.

An SII 3-9x42 has plenty of eye relief for a .338 Win Mag. Had one on mine for a little over a year now with no problems...or ring around the eye. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

The SII 3-9X42 is a no frills, most bang for the buck scope. I put one on my Rem. Classic 8X57 and found eye relief to be of no concern. Should be a great scope on a 338 WM.
