Below is an excerpt for an email sent by a woman I work with. Her father, Major James Sizemore and his co-pilot were shot down in Laos and their services are on to be held Arlington National Cemetery. Due to sequestration, the Air force will not do a fly over. Contributions are being taken to provide this honor to these fallen heroes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to pass this along to any organizations or forums that might be able to help and just to get the word out about the service Warrior Aviation provides. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

"Major James Sizemore, and his co-pilot / navigator, Major Howard Andre, were shot down and killed by enemy fire in Laos on 8 July 1969 while flying a USAF A-26K Invader while performing night special operations forces air-to-ground support. They were initially classified as Missing-in-Action but later re-classified as Killed-in-Action. Their crash site was located in the 1990s and excavated in 2012. Their remains have been recovered, identified and are being returned home for a full military memorial service (a joint service as requested by the Sizemore and Andre families) scheduled to occur on 23 September 2013 at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.

These men rate a USAF memorial service flyover as per Department of Defense Directive and their families have formally requested one. The USAF has declined to support the memorial service with a flyover citing funding shortages due to the ongoing budget situation called Sequestration. A private non-profit organization, the Warrior Flight Team and their affiliate Warrior Aviation, who provides scholarships in aviation related fields to wounded servicemen and women from the Iraq and Afghanistan war, has committed to perform the flyover at their own expense. The flyover itself will consist of four tactical jet aircraft and four historical war bird aircraft (including the type of aircraft Major Sizemore and Major Andre were shot down in) flown by volunteer private citizens who are all veterans themselves.

The cost of the fuel for the flyover is estimated to be $20,000 and the families of Major Sizemore and Major Andre are asking for donations to help offset these fuel costs which are currently planned to be paid by the Warrior Flight Team. Any donated funds received will be applied directly to offset the cost of the fuel for the flyover and any excess funds received would be donated to and used by Warrior Aviation to assist wounded warriors as described earlier.

This link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WuUafH7Clbg will take you to a You Tube site showing my brother, James, being interviewed about Dad and the flyover. Note: you may have to copy and paste the link to get it to work. Warrior Aviation has non-profit status, but the web person wasnt able to get the PayPal account to work. Donations are being accepted through the A-26 Legacy Foundation another non-profit and then they are routing the funds back to Warrior Aviation. All contributions are welcome, but if we dont raise the funds, the flyover will still take place. These warriors are amazing men and we are honored they chose to honor my Dad and Major Andre in this way.

You may reach the A-26 Legacy Foundation by clicking on http://www.a-26legacy.org. Scroll to the bottom and click the PayPal button. On the confirmation page ADD SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE SELLER and indicate the funds are for the Warrior Flight Team flyover."

Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.
