I recently aquired a Win M70 Classic Stainless in 375 H&H (24" bbl). I am interested in loads and comments for/about the Nosler 260 gr Partition and Accubond bullets.
Thanks HL

I've had great luck with RL15, around 73g max @ 2744 fps.

Same here. 73 is the Nosler-listed max, but many rifles shoot their best with the starting load, 69 grains. This is also plenty. A Ruger No. 1 I had cut cloverleaves with this load, and muzzle velocity was still around 2700.

Both bullets work great on game, but the AB shoots quite a bit flatter at longer ranges.

Using the Hornady 270 bullet with 75 grains matches the exact Hornady Factory load called the Heavy magnum as I recall.

I pulled the bullet from a factory load and weighed the powder. I don't know the type of powder, but the load shot the same FPS and POI as my RL15 handloads using the same bullet, and RL15 with the same weight and volume inside the shell.

This factory load and my handload gets over 2800fps and on warm days will be at 2850fps from several different 24" barrels. I have been loading this for lots of people for a long time now and it has not been an over load in a single rifle. I only use Large rifle pimers not magnums though.

I realize this is not the Nosler bullet but it's slightly heaver @270 grains. This powder charge is also my standard 270 Swift Aframe load as well.

In my opinion there is no better big game combination made then the 270 grain weight bullets at 2800fps. The only few animals it would struggle with would be the biggest of thick skinned game.

I know of several brown bear, lion, buffalo giraffe, hippo, eland, bison moose, etc shot with my handloads listed here. All worked nice and no lost game. The 260 grain is lighter, but should be similiar to the 270 in performance.

I'm partial to the Swift A frames in this cartridge because I have never seen one other then "magazine add" perfection when recovered. I'm anxious to try the 270 Hornady interbond if they ever release them!
