Does anyone have a Cabelas/sportsmans warehouse Tikka t3 super lite, specifically any of the magnum calibers? That can tell me the actual weight of the rifle.
I'm trying to find out what the actual weight savings are over the regular lite version.

I have searched a little bit and have not found a weight listing. Its hard to search thoroughly with a cell phone and bad reception where I live grin

Thanks.

I just weighed my T3 Lite 223. Six pounds, six ounces. A 308 would be a couple ounces lighter (bigger bore) and I'm guessing the fluting on the Cabelas Rifle would drop four more ounces. That weight includes the Tikka rings, no scope. Sportsmans Warehouse has carried that same rifle but the stock was black and not camo like the Cabelas version.

Thanks. I had another person tell me they list at 5.8lbs? That sounds about right with the subtractions from your tikka.

5.8 lbs was what the sticker on the stock said which IIRC included the factory rings.

My finaces .308 Super Lite is 6lb 9oz with Talley lightweight lows, 3.5-10 VXIII and a Limbsaver pad.

Subtracting the factory claimed weights for the accessories (factory rings were 2.3oz so a wash for Talleys) puts it at 5lb 7oz total for rifle and rings).

My SL in .308 was dead on 5.8 lbs with rings. Now, she's 6 lbs 10 ozs with stock rings, Limbsaver and Leupy 6x36 (with aluminum bolt shroud).

SL in .223 with stock rings, shroud, and Vortex Viper 2-7x32 is 7 lbs even.

My T3 .223 is 7 lbs 3.5 oz unloaded with the Tikka rings and a Leupold Vari-X II 3-9X40.

Oops, missed the "super light" part. Mine is a regular T3 light with the unfluted barrel.

.270 WSM and .300 WSM - don't think they make a 7mmWSM but I could be wrong.

No 7 WSM, no 7mm-08 and no 243 as all in the order would have been my preference.

Does anyone have a link to the superlight Tikka rifles? I have searched and can't find them at the store web sites.

I know they are not a catalogue item for Tikka and I don't recall ever seeing a picture in an ad from the 3 vendors that sell them. They are the T3 Lite with a Sako Finnlite stainless fluted barrel.

Cabelas has camo stock stainless barrel.$899
Sportsman's warehouse black stock stainless barrel. $699 (they have 4 .223,. 22-250. 30-06 and 7RM IIRC)
Bass Pro Shops black stock and black coated stainless barrel.

Cabelas link (not sure why its so long):

Mallard,

If you'd edit your post and erase every thing after the 'uts?' on the link, I think it would fix the scale on this page.

I have the 308 and its just under 7 #s with talley lightweights, limbsaver pad, and a weaver 3-10x40 Grandslam. I have the local sportsmans bringing me in another in 223 8 twist. I'll have to weigh it before I scope it up. It's not getting a limbsaver. I'll just have to man up and deal with the recoil.

IIRC, my SL in 300 Win from Cabela's was ~6lbs. Definitely not 5.8 lbs. Maybe the ones with shorter barrels along with the fluting are 5.8 lbs.

With DNZ 1-pc., 6x42 with M1, and Limbsaver it was ~7lbs.

Neat rifle, but it had the worst trigger out of the 5 Tikkas I owned. Just a bit of overtravel. Accuracy was great, and a relatively easy rifle to shoot with that level of recoil.

Sold that rifle and am hunting this year with an 84M. Noticeable difference in weight, but a few steps down in horsepower.
