OP Droptine Campfire Regular Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 2,320 The Republic of Texas	Anyone have any experience with the older Toyota 5 speed transmissions? I just bought an old 85 4x4 to use on the lease and the guy I got it from says that every now and then the tranny will lock up and it's hell to get it unstuck. He said sometimes it happens when just shifting to a higher gear and sometimes it happens when downshifting. I bought it cheap so I figured I would gamble on it. I havent went to pick it up yet so I don't have any info off of the tranny yet. Just thought someone might know off hand what the problem is. DT www.ConnerKnives.com
