hey guys would any of you be willing to share some of your load data for the 7mm saum . i have a model 700 with a 24 in barrel and ive been shooting 140 gr remington core loc ultra factory ammo but its getting hard to find . i really want to shoot 150 game kings since i have 200 of them , lol . or even a heavier bullet . i dont have any books that have any load data for this cartridge . all my books are older ones . but im thinking maybe trying h1000, imr 7828 , h4831 sc and cci 250 primers . i just want a good whitetail load out to about 400 or 450 yards in the 2900 or faster fps range . any data or advice would be appreciated .

150 BT's, max load of H4831sc, CCI magnum primers. Load them out as far as your mag box will feed. Shoots lights out in my rig, does very well in others around here. Clocks around 2935 fps mv out of my 22" tube, with crazy long case life, which is important. Good all around bullet, easy to find on the shelves.

http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp

Working up to their max loads have done very well for me.

I saw 56gr of RL17 and 160's mentioned here and on another hunting forum. Both members were getting 2,900fps+. My 22" barrel has proven to be about 50fps slow on average with nearly any load I get from others here, but the 160AB at 2,850fps shoots really well in my gun using the RL17 load. (Work up, as always)

These loads all shoot well under an inch in my stainless/synthetic 700 BDL:

Hornady 139 Spire Point 60.0 H4350 3152 fps
Hornady 139 Spire Point 62.0 H100V 3285 fps
Sierra 160 GameKing 66.0 RL-25 3044 fps
Sierra 160 GameKing 68.0 Magnum 3036 fps

The H4350 139 load is especially accurate.

I'd also recommend the Hodgdon Data in this case as it's probably the most realistic for this situation. I'd also recommend starting at the bottom charge-wise and chronographing each batch along the way, stopping when you get as close as you can to the data without going over (regardless of charge weight) since you're using hotter primers than provided in the data and it'll probably take less powder to get there. Just my two cents.

+1 what Rancho said. H4831 and 150's will meet your needs.H4831 seems to work really work well in the SAUM

With 154gr IL I got the best accuracy and speed with RL22. That's after trying RL19, RL22, H4350, H4831sc and H414. I didn't have any RL17 at the time.

imr4831sc in mine with 150 and 160 grs

very first 3 shots out of mine went .39 with 160 gr BT

I pretty much quit there. Although the rifle will shoot most anything in this range into < 1"

mine is a SS model 7

160gr Accubonds & H4831sc for a mild 2800-2900 fps but very accurate. I'm getting a custom built and plan on shooting 168gr Accubond LR with H4350, H4831sc or H1000

My self I don't own one but I have a buddy that is getting 3400 fps with 140 accubond with imr-4350 and I know it sounds crazy but it was verified on 2 different chronys. No pressure and safe in his gun which in a Remington. I could not believe it myself.

2900-2950 with 162 Hornies can't be beat. R22 or H4831 and use your chrony.

The 3400 fps velocity is a pressure sign.

It sounds crazy and stupid. Taking a look at both Nosler and Hodgdon Maximum loads, it's not a miracle or mystery to me how he's getting over 200 fps more velocity over maximum, he's obviously adding quite a bit more powder, therefore creating more pressure and velocity, your friend is a moron sir. I don't know why the hell people keep thinking reading brass for signs of pressure is worth a schit, THE ONLY WAY TO HAVE ANY IDEA OF PRESSURE IN A CARTRIDGE IS TO CHRONOGRAPH YOUR LOADS AND COMPARE TO LEGITIMATE DATA SUCH AS HODGDON, NOSLER, ETC.
