I concede that I am a beam scale, powder trickler and Lee Dipper type of handloader... so don't have a problem with 3031 or 4064 and other larger grained powders...
I've even tested 3031 in the 204 and 17 Fireball...
granted you have to pour it in slow to a 17 Fireball case, but it still gave some very accurate results
as it did in the 204...

Good to know, I picked up a pound of it this spring because it was what was there and I still don't have enough powder for the bullets and primers I have. SO I thought I would give it a try. Haven't actually loaded any yet though.

I have several lbs of it.. it never seems to be the "best" powder for any thing, but it works well in just about everything. I use it for my 250-3000, 45-70 with cast, and 30-30 with cast.
I individually weigh all of my rifle loads so it doesn't bother me that it doesn't meter.
